Eglise Notre-Dame de l'Assomption

in Embreville

The overall structure is built of limestone ashlar on a flint base. The church is buttressed by brick quoins and buttresses, and topped by a square slate-tiled bell tower with a polygonal spire and turned-up eaves. On old postcards, the bell tower features a different, very tapered spire. All bays are round-headed, with brick surrounds. The south-western side door features a low arch and is surmounted by a rectangular low-arched bay. This opening is the result of a renovation.
