Farming, grazing and fishing have prevailed in the lower valley for several centuries. Despite the increasing urban development and the growing tourism industry with the presence of a seaside resort on the site, this sensitive natural area has managed to maintain a significant level of farming and grazing and its natural look intact.
This site belongs to the Conservatoire du littoral (Coastal protection agency) and is managed by the Department of Seine-Maritime.
